Scholarship opportunity given to four NHS members

Four fortunate National Honor Society members recently received a scholarship opportunity, sponsored by NHS. The scholarship was offered on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

On top of the limited availability, students also have to uphold The Four Pillars of NHS, as well as obtain the approval of the NHS sponsor and school principal.

“When evaluating students for this scholarship, we look for well-rounded students who portray those four pillars,” NHS President Marek Walker said. “Those being scholarship, service, leadership and character. Every student in NHS has these, but we look for students who go above and beyond to really live out these characteristics, because they essentially are representing our chapter.”

The NHS scholarship program gives out $250,000 annually, and has given out more than $10 million since 1946. Get more information here.
