Varsity baseball loses game 1 to Cedar Ridge

Jake Jarvis did all he could to give Varsity Baseball a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Cedar Ridge, as the team lost 4-3 in seven innings at Weimaron Friday.

Jarvis racked up two RBIs on one hit. He homered in the first inning.

Justin Haros recorded the win for Cedar Ridge. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

The team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first, catching fire after Jacob Rodriguez singled. Then Jarvis homered, plating Jacob Rodriguez.

It didn’t take long for Cedar Ridge to answer as it scored two runs of its own in the fifth. Cedar Ridge scored on an RBI double by Mike McCann and a groundout by Cruz Buettiker.
