Virtual Halloween

Halloween won’t be the same as usual for anyone- trick-or-treating and regular Halloween parties are no longer safe due to Covid-19. Instead, there are online substitutes that (hopefully) will make celebrating feel a little more like normal.

Watch a Halloween Movie Online

While hosting an outdoor movie-watching party is safer than indoors, participating online ensures the safety of everyone “attending”. With the help of Zoom or Disney+ GroupWatch, you can still watch movies with your friends virtually. Whether it’s Scream or Spookley the Square Pumpkin, watching a Halloween movie is always fun, even if you can’t connect with friends directly.

Play a Horror Game

With the help of Discord or some other type of voice chatting application, playing a multiplayer horror game (or any type) can be super fun. If you’re playing by yourself, Among Us is a good alternative since there are many servers available with people from all over.

Do a Virtual Escape Room

There are many free virtual escape rooms available, many being through google forms. There are also many Halloween-themed adventure maps available on Minecraft servers if you want a more immersive experience. Both of these can be attempted individually or as a group.

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, it’s best if everyone limits meeting in-person as much as possible and continues to follow CDC guidelines. For more information on how to stay safe on Halloween, visit this link.
