Klein Collins Color Guard works hard throughout the year to ensure success at competitions.

For the first time in Klein Collins history, the Color Guard traveled to compete in the World Championship in Dayton, Ohio where they placed fourth.

“It was due to a lot of hard work, dedication and constant rehearsal that we were able to compete so well,” Color Guard captain Jacoby Taylor said. “We definitely expect to do even better next year.”

According to Taylor, the team did not expect to get past semi-finals so when they made it to finals, they were beyond proud and excited that they had made it that far.

“When they announced that they received fourth, there were cheers, but no tears, just satisfaction that we got that far,” Color Guard Director Tiffany Quinones said.

Auditions for next year’s team will be held on May 2 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
