The other Klein high schools have followed suite of Klein Collins, starting their own versions of T.I.E Night. Klein Oak is debuting their own P.I.E Night (Panther Information Extravaganza).

T.I.E Night, short for Tiger Information Extravaganza, is an annual event hosted by Klein Collins as a way to show incoming freshmen many of the opportunities high school has to offer. This year’s T.I.E Night will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 22 in the Klein Collins Commons.

The way T.I.E Night works is that groups of approximately 300 eighth graders and their parents will enter KC through the band hall entrance and make their way to the auditorium. In the auditorium, they will go through a brief informational session, giving them insight on the bigger clubs on campus, such as Drama Club, football and HOSA.

After they leave the auditorium, the crowd will be lead towards the commons, where rows of tables have been set up like booths for clubs to promote themselves to the incoming freshmen. This also gives the freshmen and their parents the opportunity to ask club officers, members and sponsors questions about their club and how it has benefited them in high school.

Similar to the past two years, food trucks will also be available in the front parking lot, near the loop, for those who didn’t have the chance to grab dinner or for students running their club’s booth.
