The trending pages are getting the most attention drawing the reactions from millions around the world, with new challenges influencing the minds of young users online, social media is basically what people live their lives around.

Trends are how people live now-a-days. Mom jeans and checkered Vans is what everyone is wearing, just like all the influencers on social media. Influencers are people who are famous just for having a specific lifestyle. People who travel the world while being trend-setters and owning everything that most people dream of having. Although we see this picture of how these many people live their lives, we also do not know what it is like behind social media. Most of these influencers live a lie. Influencers post what they know people will want to see to draw attention to their names. No one really knows what their lives are like hiding under their posts.

There are also people online who only use social media as a sort of click bait to lure people in. Those people are called catfishes. They post pictures of someone who is not them and pretend to be someone they are not. Catfishing is most popular on dating apps such as Tinder and Bumble, where people usually go to catfish everyone. Insecurity runs all over the Internet and that is what causes these people to want to be somebody else. They usually get caught once the lies become way too obvious. They start to not send videos of themselves or never want to meet up in person which causes suspicion from the other person. It is hard to trust people on the Internet now when it is so easy to lie to people.

At the end of the day, it is better to just not believe everything on the Internet. The more people see, the more they do, which causes a wave of more and more people creating and posting fake news and this contributes to the reason why everything is not what it seems, especially online.
