Tayler Atkinson pitched seven strong innings to carry Varsity Softball to a 2-1 win over Austin Bowie in seven innings on Friday at Weimar High School.
Adriana Farris helped the team take the lead for good in the sixth inning. With the team trailing by one, Farris came to the plate and homered, bringing home Sam Patterson.
Farris racked up two RBIs on two hits for the team.
Farris got a hit in each of her two at bats.
In the sixth inning, Austin Bowie pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Jayme Perez.
