Mass shooting leaves washington in chaos
Funerals are being planned for the twelve people killed at a navy yard on Sept. 16 when a gunman opened fire. While authorities search for other possible shooters and motives, the families of the dead mourn the loss of their loved ones.
The shooting began at 8:20 a.m. in building 197. The shooter went through several floors and fired shots into a crowd of people from a balcony in the building. Not long after it began, an armed officer shot and killed the shooter.
The memory of those killed will live on and work will resume in building 197. Authorities continue to search for evidence that could aid in the discovery of the shooter’s motive.
