Harry Potter fans cheer in delight as J.K. Rowling announces her return to the wizarding world, but this time in film. Warner Brothers Entertainment has offered to turn her book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, into a new film adaptation. However, this work does not exactly include the Harry Potter series’ character favorites such as Ron, Hermione and Harry, but it does take place in the same world of witches and wizards. The story takes place 70 years before the start of Harry Potter’s misguided adventures with his friends, but the same rules and traditions of the wizarding world will be evident in this new step of Rowling’s literary journey. Familiar creatures such as the Basilisk, Hippogriff and the Ukrainian Ironbelly are noted to make appearances in the new movie that will hopefully fill the void left in devoted fans by the conclusion of the Harry Potter series. The release date has yet to be announced.
